Caution & Contraindications
Modified Citrus Pectin (PectaSol-C)
Low–molecular-weight pectin fragments may bind and block galectin-3 and can act as soluble fibre that supports healthy cell signalling and gut function.
Caution: Start with a smaller amount if you are sensitive to fibre, as increased fibre may cause gas or bloating; contains sodium and potassium, so consider overall intake if following a restricted electrolyte diet.
Potassium
An essential electrolyte that helps regulate fluid balance and supports normal nerve signalling and muscle contraction.
Caution: Monitor total dietary potassium if you use potassium-restricted diets or potassium-sparing medicines, as excess intake may affect electrolyte balance.
Sodium
An essential electrolyte that helps maintain fluid balance and supports nerve transmission.
Caution: Account for the sodium content if you are limiting sodium intake, as it contributes to daily totals.
Dietary Fibre
Soluble fibre forms a viscous gel in the gut that slows absorption and supports regularity and a healthy microbiome.
Caution: Increase fluid intake when adding fibre to reduce the chance of digestive discomfort.
Not safe for use in pregnancy
